About Me
Detail from Hisakawa Aya's
Decade CD coverOne of the actresses that shows up in so many favorite shows of mine, from classics like the original Bubblegum Crisis, Oh My Goddess, and the ubiquitous Sailor Moon to new shows like Noir, Azumanga Daiou, and X, miss Hisakawa's voice is one I recognize almost right away. This certainly helps when I hear a familiar voice for only a sentence or two at a time in video games like Soul Calibur II.
Singing many anime themes and related songs as well, she's released multiple albums both of her own collections and as part of groups such as "Goddess Family Club" (with Inoue Kikuko and Touma Yumi, they form the trio of lead actresses from Oh My Goddess), "Gunsmith Cats" (with Neya Michiko and Araki Kae), and others. Her voice is featured on many other soundtracks, drama CDs, and video games both in song and acting.
A large list of credits (anime, music, magazine, appearances, etc.) can be found in Hitoshi Doi's online seiyuu database at http://www.tcp.com/~doi/seiyuu/hisakawa-aya/.
