About Me

Imagine David Lynch directing a long-forgotten unused Alfred Hitchock script. That's the feel of Perfect Blue, directed by Kon Satoshi (Memories) with advisor Otomo Katsuhiro (Akira).
Story Intro
Mima Kirigoe leaves stardom in her top pop-music trio for the lights of camera and film. She lands a role in a sexual murder mystery, and many fans don't like the new image. One in particular seems to be following her far too much and posting far too many details of her life on the Internet.
More of her image is tarnished when she agrees to a photo shoot at a men's magazine. For one fan, this is over the limit, and people in Mima's new life start dying. Then someone appears to be taking Mima's place in her old life in the pop band -- someone who looks just like the old Mima -- but is she really there, or a strange apparition?
When the stalker attacks, Mima is thrust into a chase for her life to stop the deaths of those around her as well as her own.
