Kei and Yuri are government agents, codenamed "Lovely Angels", who nab criminals of all sorts; however, due to the wake of destruction after they're done (but usually not their fault directly), they've gained a nickname: Dirty Pair. These are the original anime "babes with big bazookas" -- and I do mean bazookas.

With the worldwide success of the original character design, a complete redesign was also done as Dirty Pair Flash, with a younger version of the Lovely Angels, who may or may not be the same Kei and Yuri as the original pair. When that version was released to less success, the older pair were given a further 10 episodes, which were released here in the US as Original Dirty Pair (not to be confused with the original episodes, but closer to the original designs).
